synergy se, sl

i want to buy a new synergy, and i was wondering if the se is the same stick as the sl with a different paint job? Just want to know if the se is worth paying more money for.

Basically the same, except the the SE is reinforced at the heel. Personally I wouldnt get either the SL or SE, I used both and the CNT and I think the Stealth CNT is leagues above both.

I picked up a couple SEs and it certainly feels like a much different stick then the SL. Personally, I loved the SLs and I'm not a huge fan of the SE. Same curve and flex for what it's worth.

there a bit different but i've heard that theres still durability issues with both the sl & se, stealth is sold, i still have yet to break one in a year of being on the ice for 1.5 hours at least each day, much more solid, much better investment

Dont they share the same shaft and have a pretty different blade? I thought thats what I read on here somewhere....

Zach

I thought I had read the SE has a little more 'girth' to the shaft to reinforce it a little more. The blade, I'm not 100% on.

Damn, I just orderd 2 of these from my LHS :(

2 Questions, does it "Whip out" like the SL's did (does it lose flex as quickly)? And does it still have the weak point at the heal of the blade?

I'm going to have to agree, I just got a prostock SE Grip, don't know if that makes any difference but the puck feel and release of the stick is top notch. It's also probably the best balanced OPS I've used to date, and with that the puck rockets off the blade. Best Easton stick to date.

As a lot of people have said the Stealth is a more solid stick. When me and a couple teammates were fooling around in front of our goalie (practice)my goalie tripped me and when I fell I slammed the heel of the blade right on the ice. Picture a kid 5'10", falling with a lot of wieght on to the heel. That was a month ago and I still use this every day. If the SL is anything like the SE, then there is going to be problems. A teammate of mine hit the heel on his SL not even hard and it snapped off.

The exact same thing happend to me with my SL. Except it was just a hard pass and that was after only a month and a half or so.

Luckily for me I retired my 05 SL because it was an intermediate and I use SR 85 now. When I get around to it im going to trade it in for credit at my LHS.

What I recently realised, is that the SE doesn't have any CNT in the blade anymore its now een reserved for the Stealth. SO technically the SL should be a better a stick. But under the assumption that they reinforced the blade I'd say they perform the same. I'd go SL I know we're selling them for 70$ cheaper now.

they are pretty much the same stick, but as said before the SE is a bit more solid, if money isnt an issue id go with the SE over the SL, does anybody know if the durability of the weak spot in the heel of the SL is increased if you buy the stick prostock?
