Easton Stealth Gloves

Recommended Posts

I just bought a pair of these not more than 30 minutes ago and when I arrive home and open the bag containing my gloves I find that the index fingers are crooked to the point that there is constant pulling on them. Is this normal and will it break in eventually or should I return them?

As an Easton user I've found the fingers in the newer Synergy and Stealth gloves seem much shorter than in previous models in the same size category. A 14 inch glove seems to be slightly cramped and when I buy I need to move up to 15 inch to get the feel I'm used to with say a pair of Bauer or RBK gloves. I don't know the reasoning for this. Maybe Easton figures it makes them more responsive feeling.

The long and short of this though is I really don't like the newer Synergy gloves as far as fit is concerned. The older Z-Air models felt much more comfortable because of the looser fit. Your gloves may feel more comfortable after a few games. I have opted to go with a pair of Bauer Vapor XX's because the feel was incredible from the start and the feel even better now that their breaking in. I have been a devoted Easton user for quite a few years but lately their gloves seem to have a little less ,in the way of fit than their major competitors, in my humble opinion. I'm also not a big fan of their smart cuff as well.

the 07 model eastons have longer fingers than the past few years models. Still not as long as bauers or eagles but more like TPS.

I picked up a pair of S4s from my LHS for $45 and there seems to be a hard piece of plastic on the inside of the thumb that has been causing me some discomfort. They deffinitly dont feel as mobile as my previous Vapor gloves.

My friend bought pro stock Stealth gloves and the index was pulling to. He baked them and it finally got better. Maybe you should give it a try.
