Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 OK, in the new league, teams are smaller, so ice time is increased by a lot.I am sweating more, and drinking more/squirting water on face to cool the hell down.I have noticed a couple of spots on my chin from the rubbing of the wet chin cup.I just transfered the cage from my old Bauer 1000 helmet to the 4500, so it's pretty low end cage/chin cup.Can you buy higher end ones that would maybe prevent this, different materials etc.Just curious.Cheers
Drewhunz 3 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 Nike Dri Fit chin cup, or you could place a small piece of terry cloth in the base of your existing chin cup.
Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 Can those be bought seperately or do I need to buy the new cage?
Drewhunz 3 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 I know you can buy the ones for football. One of my teammates bought the Nike chin sleeve and transferred that to his cage.Nike Chin Shield
barrett 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 I also get this sometimes. Not to drastically or often. I don't really know how to prevent it , mostly mine is from when my chin guard slides up.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 the dri-fit cup is overrated. It actually feels more wet than my CCM chin cup. Sometimes it feels like my chin is submerged in water/sweat. <_<
Doctor Hook 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 Which is why I rock my cage loose so my chin isn't resting on the cup.
