Lightspeed v. Lightspeed 2

Recommended Posts

I found the LS to be stiffer than the customs I tried.

The LS2 is stiffer & heavier than the LS. The LS doesn't have the blade holes and the bumps in the holder's bottom edge.

So the LS2 is easier to stone.

The blade attaches with a single fastener at the heel.

The LS2 Power has great glide.

PS The older customs were really spongy and would flex under hard loading. I got rid of those pretty quick.

I think the difference between LS and LS2 is the size of the nut/bolt in the heel. The LS2 uses the same size as the Custom+.

That doesnt sound too similar to me :D

So, to use a LSP2 blade, you must use a LSP2 holder? I believe you stated that

the other day, but just trying to make that clear. Also, JR..is there really any added benefit to getting LSP2's compared to the regular Lightspeeds? I know the blade is longer, but is it noticeable when skating??

All I know is that the lightspeed series of runners is the best ever, and I'll be using them on whatever skate I purchase. I just dont like the clear ones and I wish they made them in black and possibly blue, I mean not like that crap that totalhockey puts out, but like the old school blue.

I thoguht the LSP2 were 3mm higher for improved cornering and stopping.

Just because you thought it doesn't mean you are right.

Tuuk went taller in the back for the LightSpeed because everyone else was taller than the Custom +. PITCH is the same height as Custom + from what I can remember.

Just making sure, I can put a LS2 runner on an LS holder?

Yes

Absolutely! In fact, I did this very thing a few years back when I broke an LS runner on my Bauer 8090s I owned back then. My LS2 runners worked just fine in my LS holders.
