Dallas Stars Equipment Sale

Recommended Posts

dropped my stuff off at home then went over to work. I'm left handed, I got:

Modano stealth

Daley trilage-ive always wanted to try this stick

Daley SE

and some laces.

I also agree the equipment was pretty picked over. very small selection of skates compared to last year.

i would disagree with whoever said there was tons of apparel... there was tons of all-star apparel, but who really wants any of that garbage? NO good RBK/NB/easton locker room apparel/hats. skate selection was all just generic retail items...and not well priced at that. tons of good lefty sticks, but righty sticks were few and far between. and bucket selection was an absolute joke

Think about it, there are only 6 Stars who are right-handed

1. Zubov

2. Boucher

3. Klemm

4. Lindros

5. Lehtinen

6. Miettnin

Helmets are replaced infrequently, and when they are there is usually a reason.

Sorry you spent the night without thinking as to whether or not they would have what you needed.

Eric Lindros Maple Leafs Prostock. Damn near crapped myself when I saw them sitting there.

What size? Let me know if you decide to unload them. :)

If that was directed at me, I just wanted a Boucher or two. Not like I can use the Zubovs I've got.

I notice you aren't asking for his helmet.

I didn't need anything guy.. how bout you just worry about yourself. which guy were you anyways? I came away with some decent stuff...just not as good as past sales. I unlike bender superfans like you, do not only look only for game used items that i can put on my wall, i need equipment to play. they dont just have stars players sticks...i.e. the naslunds retail woods i bought, so you can understand why there could be more rightys than just 6 guys

there were also new helmets, not just used ones.. only most of the new ones were smalls, hence my disapointment..

glad you got 8 new sticks to light up the ice in adult C, congratulations

I'll use them all.

I walked right next to you. My teammate was directly behind you. I was wearing a blue striped shirt.

BTW- I play adult I. Later boy.

wow, I league.. even better.

You could have picked some kind of fight with me at the rink if you wanted, but you wait to get back to the message board to attack me? real tough, guy.. and if your teammate was indeed the guy directly behind me-he is a great guy..but i dont remember you

DH-Why are you so bitter man? He is simply expressing how he feels about the sale..not a big deal and no reason for you to brag about those sweet 3 dimensional logo caps you picked up..congrats..way to be smug with your little smiley face..I was like middle of the pack and found pretty much absolutely nothing except for a pair of pants..I wouldn't say he is asking for DPSC to cater his needs...just the needs of most legit hockey guys thinking the sale would be worth it (as advertised)

Not picking a fight, besides you're what 14?

Just saying that the sale wasn't bad, but rather was bad for you.

Enough already.

you absolutely were picking a fight man.. just like everyone else who gets real tough on the internet because there are no repercussions. You're a joke

Not bitter, but wondering why there is so much consternation as to about what was or wasn't there. Considering some teams don't even have these sales, I think its great that we can buy some gear for a reduced price. I have never expected to get huge deals or quantities of exactly what I was looking for, but rather a chance to look and see if anything struck my eye. I went in with GLUhipfan, and were both surprised that people actually camped out this year. Since he bragged about being first in line this year, and now complains about what there was, I think it was more about wishful thinking than realistic goals.

Apologies to anyone who thinks I am rude or bitter, but complaining about a service that does not need to be provided strikes me as petty.

First of all, the campout idea was pretty much the sweetest idea ever..Not just for being one of the first ones in line, but for the whole experience..Any real hockey player would know and understand that spending time with the boys in that way is something to be cherished. I saw the grill, the guitar, the guys all sitting around in the morning getting pumped together...that's just something you don't get with other sports..the whole campout thing awesome in my book..ps, he is probably not comparing the star sale to other teams around the league, rather than years past when it was actually legit...
