upside-down broken OPS vs non-tapered shafts

Does an upside-down broken OPS perform roughly as well as a non-tapered shaft?

No.

Standard shafts have a "kickpoint" in the shaft, where as the kickpoint in the broken OPS will be in the taper area.

I found it to be pretty much the same, I didn't really notice any big performance issues. Sure the kick point might be off a bit, but the performance is still there.

If anything use them in the street. I just cut mine down and give them to the mites. Parents save money and the kids dig them!
