Baked my One90s

Recommended Posts

I wanted to thank the people who gave me advice on how to bake my One90s. I tossed them on a damp towel on top of a cookie sheet, convection oven at 175 for 3 minutes. It seemed when I took them out and put them on though, that at most, they were lukewarm. I remember the last time I had a pair of skates baked in store, eastons several years ago, they were smoking hot when I put them on my feet. Are the One90s not supposed to get hot when baking, or did my damp towel stop them from getting as warm as they're supposed to? Thanks.

Did you keep basting to keep moist and tender?

I think (correct me if I'm wrong) you're supposed to use a convection oven (hot, hot air), as opposed to a gas or electric oven.

If you're not a complete moron, you own a convection oven, and are capable of reading above a 2nd grade level straight off of nikebauer.com, then there's no reason why you can't just do it yourself.

JR, thanks for the input.

ie: it isn't too difficult to do at home... obviously at your own risk. I was saying it's totally possible to do at home.
