Vector 6.0 vs Vector 8.0

Recommended Posts

i know that the vector skates fit me (currently skating in a pair), and i would like to know if it is worth the extra about 100 USD to get the 8.0 rather than the 6.0. what are the pros and cons of both, i searched but no info found

The 8.0 is lighter, has more comfort foams, has ultima dry footbed, ultima dry liner, lightweight composite outsole. Worth the upgrade if you are skating 3 or more times a week.

yea i got 2 practices and a game per week, plus i think that the weight difference and the comfort foam will do my leg good since its gonna be after my leg is broken

Yeah, I'd vote for the 8.0's. If you're playing that much you might as well go with the higher-quality item. It's not like it'd be an investment that'd go to waste...besides, it's only $100, right?

In my opinion, if you can afford it get what you want, even if you don't think you need it... You only live once and every once in a while you should spoil yourself.

Plus the 8.0s look niiiice!!! haha

Honestly, I didn't need a skate like the XXXXs, I'd be fine with the XXVs but I wanted the extra stiffness and I could afford them(and they didn't have the XXVs in my size). At this point I'm fighting through a couple injuries and only playing once a week right now(occasionally twice a week), but who cares? I could afford it and they were what I wanted, they fit and I bought them. I'm happy with my purchase and that's what matters. :)

I agree with TBLfan, just make sure its within your means. No point spending a tonne of money getting something that is below your skill level as well. I've no choice but to usually get the top of the line skates due to the weight and style that I play (cant help being a skate whore either... ;)

I agree fatwabbit , If you want a skate and they would not be completely ouot of your skill range (i.e. A first year player buying XXXX'x) you should get them . I think you should go with the 8.0's.

8's for sure. theyre pretty nice skates

any reason why? i ask becasue i saw the last few posts, and it is blatently apparent that you are just commenting on everything until you see your status bumped to Members+ so you can just take advantage of the sell forums and not have any helpful insight for the other memebers of the website

quick question Vector 8.0 or RBK 5K Pump, which is better in terms of protection, durability, stiffness, and overall performance

8.0 definitely... they also fit completely different.

oh yea? i never tried on the 5k's so i dont really know how they fit, do the 8.0's fit similarly with all the other new vector models?

yes. There's a thread about the 5Ks either on the first page or the second... maybe the third. They're heavy, probably more comparable to the 6.0.

The RBKs are going to be quite a bit wider, so unless you have the option to go with a smaller width then it's not worth the trouble anyway.
