For the goalie to focus more on the eyes of the shooter perhaps?

I know fowards are dumb and all so I will forgive you on this one! lol

Goalies never look at a players eyes, we have to keep the eye on the puck. Unlike defense we look and concentrate on the puck.

At the goalie school i go to, they have clear pucks, mini clear pucks, white pucks, mini white pucks and regular mini pucks

its meant to help train your eye to follow the puck, i work at and attend steve's camp and his stuff might not be the best known but it works. But just think about it, you learn to follow a clear or white puck then a black puck gets shot at you and it is basically the only thing you see it sticks out soo much

what exactly is the point of these? I don't understand how this would be beneficial for goalies.

white pucks do not work at the rinks I play at because the ice is so dirty, the white puck shows up just fine.
