V-Hex or Fuel

Recommended Posts

I found both of Missions new sticks for 150$ at a proshop at my local rink and i was wondering which one is better? I can get them in either grip or non-grip. Thanks

but you also have to keep in mind that just because a pros stick is labeled as a vhex definalty does not mean that it is a vhex. so i dont think that is an accurate way to decide what is "better."

from what i have collected from jr, the vhex has the hex blade with the vds around the edges, i dont know if it is around each small hex or just around the entire edge of the blade. and i believe the fuel has the vds along the entire edge of the blade similar to the pulse

Not to threadjack, but is the V-Hex tapered shaft the same as the shaft on the Hex-1 OPS? I've yet to see it in person, and while I hated the Hex blade, the kick on the shaft was unreal.

again, according to my collection of info on the stick, i believe it will be the same with the addition of vds in the blade instead of just hex. so i believe the shaft should be the same

I believe tha the Fuel is a lighter version, and the V hex is a sturdier version. As someone stated the V-hex has kevlar reinforcement around the blade.

Like the ST vs the SL, or the Response Armour vs the Response X-lite, or the One 90 vs the XXX-lite.

So PP is the best answer. I go for the lightest, but I am not hard on my sticks, and they usually last fairly well.

Same here, shaft was insanely nice. I still use it even though my blade broke off over a year ago.

I previously had a hex-1, liked the stick, but the V-hex which I have now has a better feel for sure. They also fixed the weakness of the heel, the hex-1 was breaking a lot in that area. The blade was strong on hex1 so the force of shooting just found the next weakest point which was the heal.
