Bauer Sizing XXX to XXXX

Recommended Posts

Has Bauer changed the way they size their skates??? Tried on a pair of 8.5 vapor XXXX. They were marked 8.5D... the fit the same as my Vapor XXX 7.5EE??? Has Bauer gone to the Nike sizing system????

Don't think so. The toe is wider than the XXX, but to say a D width fits like a EE is too far of a stretch. I wore XXXs and now wear XXXXs. I have a very narrow foot, and the D is very comfortable for me. They are roomy in the toes (went a 1/2 size down for snug fit), but by no means as wide as a EE.

I noticed a difference in size on the XXXX's aswell, I normally wear a 6 vapor, but the XXXX's I felt a 6 was almost too big, I dont think the size itself changed much, It's mostly the new toe cap

Yep...went down half size. From a 9.5 to a 9.

also since this skate is being purely made overseas and not in north america it is coming in wider compared to the XXX which is what ive read people saying on here so far. This does cause a problem I think for kids who want the XXXX but if they have a thin foot it wouldnt be as great for them

Met with the NBH rep for the Northeast at my school the other day, went from having worn 3 straight pairs of 8.5 XXXs to a 7.5 in the 40. Not sure if my foot shrunk or if other people are noticing this too, but I was pretty surprised.

Yeah I heard that too.. Buddy of mime went down a full size from the XXX to the XXXX... Maybe I was just in the possession of mislabeled skates...

The same thing haapend to me. I have a Bauer vapor xxx 6.5 and they are way too small. When I tried the 6.5 nike bauer XXXX skates they were ´just right. But it doesn't make sense to buy the same size.
