hockeyplaya97 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 I actually like them. I have a pair of Nike high tops that are bright green and orange and pink so I'm one who favors the odd colored shoes. But, it's a bastard trying to find some clothes to match them. I mean, if you're into that kind of stuff.
mik3 1 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 No dunk SBs really retail for that much, it's just what the price is pushed up to when they're in demand. You can probably find them cheaper but there's no sense picking up a pair like that this late into the game. Pick up a pair of the Jordan 7/8/9 dunks, you can still find them for under 100 and they look clean as hell. un-tiffanys are the most recent dunk I picked up, personally I love them. M-Cohen 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 As everyday shoes? No way.If you have clothes that work with them, yes.
Hazard14 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 personally im not too sure of them myself, its more or less the low availability and the extremely limited quantity that make them sought after for not really the look. i dont think they look to bad, but i think id rather get a nicer pair of SB's in red and black

Thockey17 1 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 the hawaii's actually do retail for 170, but they cost around 215Hawaii retail was never 170. I paid $110 which was over retail anyway. All Dunk Lows retail for $65 and mids/highs are $70. Most stores mark up any SB release. People will pay whatever the stores charge. A prime example were the Staple NYC Pigeons at ReedSpace for $200. He simply stated that the cost of the shoe is around $40, not the actual retail price....And they're not one of nikes best selling shoes..not even close, actually. mik3 1 Report post Posted May 30, 2007 They have a niche, but they really don't sell that well. That's part of the reason you don't really see them in chain stores. They sell to the market they're directed at, they don't really cross over like say the air max line.
Hazard14 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2007 ahh my bad, wasnt thinking too straight yesterday, I thought they sold pretty good, well im gonna have to rephrase that they are popular shoes, but not as popular as Jordans, AF1's and Air Max's

TBLfan 25 Report post Posted May 30, 2007 the pegasus, monarchs and various shox(currently the turbo IV) are probably the most popular shoes from nike right now. The air max series are more than most people are willing to pay for shoes.
