Easton Si-core grip

Recommended Posts

One of my favorite sticks is an old easton synergy si-core grip sakic curve, however its starting to fall apart and i cannt find any place that still sells them. so my question whats the closest or most similar stick on the market now in terms of fell(with the sicore blade), weight, ect...

Thanks

I would say to look for a pro-stock si-core synergy sl grip, as you cannot get si-core in any of the newer retail models. I know hockeymonkey.com has them, but curves(in right hand especially) could be scarce. If you aren't interested in looking online then try a regular synergy sl/se, because i've heard around here the silicone doesnt actually do much in terms of feel

What about in terms of the weight whats the weight of the si core grip and the sl??

thanks

I don't know the exact gram figure, but I've used both for quite a period of time and I can tell you the SL feels much much lighter than the Si-Core. I loved the blade feel on the Si-Core though.

Thats the point I want it to be as heavy as the sicore I don't want a lighter stick as weird as that sounds

i saw a bunch of these sticks for $129.99 at yorkdale sportchek (toronto)

I would avoid sportchek and the whole Forzani group all together. They are notorious for repainting cheap sticks as better versions. I seen Adrenaline's for $130CDN and they didn't feel like my Adrenaline I had. Very cheap feel to it.

I don't know about that. Re-painting sticks? That sounds highly implausible.

But yes, I think the closest current stick to the Si-Core would be the ST, however it probably wouldn't be too hard to still find some Si-Core's kicking around if you really liked them that much.

There were also the infamous "white and green" TPS Rubber Responses. I don't know what they were underneath but they were heavy and not very balanced.
