Warrior Question?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I recently bought a Dolo 2 int 70 flex shaft. Inside the barcode reads "WDM3970" and then under it it says "Flex 180"

Did I get a misprinted flex shaft?

1/2 of 260 is 180? Can you elaborate? I dont understand your logic in determining this. Not trying to be an ass at all, just curious?

The conversion chart on hockeymonkey says this.

http://www.hockeymonkey.com/nhl-hockey-sti...r-dolomite.html

Thats for senior sticks. I imagine that there is an entire set for int. sticks too. The numbering system may reset between the sen. int. and jr. models.

..K, got my thoughts strait.

As far as I can tell, you are looking at the shaft model number.. which would also indicate the flex. If you were to buy a pro-stock stick, it doesn't have the flex rating printed on the stick (like a retail stick does). The only way to find out the flex rating is to look at that number that I told you about. I imagine they have the same rating for the int. and jr. sticks, but in their own set of numbers (180 on a senior stick is different from 180 on the int. stick).

was it a pro stock? all of my sticks have a 3 digit number i dont remember what number equals what flex though

I doubt it was a prostock.. its an intermediate stick.

The flex is indicated by the chart that I posted from hockeymonkey.. welcome to the thread.

here's what I do: If the flex on the outside feels like what it says it is, then I don't worry. I don't worry about what's on the inside of the shaft because that crap is meaningless.

It's a clever marketing scheme by Warrior to get you to buy another stick. They're trying to make you think that it's a 180 flex and its too stiff, so you buy another shaft from them, one that isn't a "180 flex".

In all seriousness, just ignore it. Why were you looking inside the shaft anyways... I know I never do.
