Legit..Sad loss. Such a great competitor. He Performed at our place twice, and as always, a Huge fan favorite. I'll never forget the Rabid Wolverine.

That's horrible news coming from anywhere. I really hope it's not some family murder then suicide. Horrible.

Agreec , that would be a big shock to a lot of wrestling fans I'm sure. That is a sin to happen to any family , celebrity or not.

sad sad day! the world lost a great competitor! :(

In a lot of ways he was a hockey player in a Wrestlers body.

[EDIT] Odd, Since Vince McMahon's "death" there have been 2 deaths in the WWE family. Sensational Sherrie and now Chris Benoit.

These WWE tributes are so surreal. Seeing these guys out of character and being themselves remembering a friend and colleague.

Wait, Rod Beck died and he's a real athlete and it went unnoticed here. Damn.

Figured that's what it would turn out to be, that's just pussy.

The article I read said that the "instruments of the deaths" were still at the location. I believe that was the term I read...

That...couldn't be more of a vague description at all. And no, I haven't heard anything on Beck but my assumption is substance-related as well.

I just pictured a weapon of some kind when I read that...but later read, no evidence of shooting or stabbing.

As for Beck...I won't be the least bit surprised if that is the outcome.

According to this article on the WWE website, it was in fact a double murder-suicide; apparently the WWE has more details on what really happened but the police are telling them to hold that info: (link below) :

When it was WWF Owen Hart died.

I think the murder-suicide thing will overtake any "accomplishments" that he might have had; jumping around on a fake wrestling mat, wearing tights, juiced on steroids...

This is just sad. I grew up watching the Rabid Wolverine battle through hell and earn the respect of his opponents, colleagues, and fans. I always thought he was one of the more classy and respectable performers in wrestling. I can only wonder what all of the punnishment he went through during his career contributed to his downfall (assuming the reports of murder suicide are true).

As for Vincent McMahon, I think the whole limo bomb was a publicity stut and that he was not harmed. He will be back.

This is f'ed up:

The WWE canceled its live "Monday Night RAW" card in Corpus Christi, Texas, and USA Network aired a three-hour tribute to Benoit in place of the scheduled wrestling telecast.
