cbart 1 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 I was thinking about picking up the Graf 700 shoulder/shin/elbow pads. Does anyone have any inputs regarding goods/bads/other with this line? Thanks for any repsonses.I use the shinpads in the 15" version. No problems to speak of. Lightweight and don't feel bulky (I did some trimming of excess side padding but I "tweak" all of my equipment). I looked extensively at a lot of models out there as I couldn't find any that I considered not too bulky (I have skinny legs). I love the removable foam liner (as in you can wash it) as well! duch 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 If Graf skates are any indication of what their protective equipment is like then I say you really can't go too wrong. I personally don't wear Graf but anyone I know who has Graf has nothing but positive opinions on their protective gear.

I had the 703 shoulders and they were overpriced crap.
BobMcRobertson 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 I was mainly interested in the shoulder pads, as they seem to be less cumbersome than the RBK 7k's that I have, at least when I tried on a buddies. I figured I would investigate the whole series and maybe pick up the package deal at Hockey Monkey. The 7k shin pads I have now could stop a shotgun blast, so I can't really complain about them, other than the liner which turns turns brown or black from sweat. Thakns for the replies gents..... kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 We have the shins, and I was not impressed. The knee areas did not "suck" your leg in, so it felt like your knee was just sitting on top of it. Not impressed
duch 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 My local hockey shop sells Graf protective and they usually don't stock up on items that aren't decent quality, they can't afford to. Some guys may not like Graf protective but in most cases I've come across and from looking at their stuff it seems like pretty decent stuff in my opinion.
