Habs should have taken Esposito, he'll be rookie of year next season. I agree with Denis Savard comparisons-going to haunt them for long time. At least Savard wasn't hoisting Stanley Cups over his head....we'll see that pic with Esposito in Pittsburgh.

i was hoping they would too but Ryan McDonagh is still a very good prospect and i also really wanted them to pick perron for there 2nd first round pick

What I was trying to say was more how the French sports media (RDS being the main one) has really had an affect on those running the team as well as the players. After all they are the voice of the French sports fans in Montreal. Don't get me wrong, I watch most games on RDS, and enjoy it, but I just feel like there is this huge bias in favor of anything French.

I wouldn't say that it's only RDS. Many players have said they aren't interested in going to Montreal because of the media.
