Bauer Classic Gold

Does anybody have any feedback on the Classic Golds? Now that they are cheap I imagine that people will buy them. The 8090 has made them yesterdays news, but I think its a quality skate for a discounted price. Could be the hidden gem of discounted skates.

A kid on my team had them, he's now using Vapor XXs.

They held up for a long time, skating about 3-4 times a week. They aren't bad skates, they aren't the lightest out there, but it really depends on your budget.

They are durable, have pretty good support, so if you're looking for that kind of skate at a good price, then i'd take a look into them.

I know guys that I talked into buying the golds and silvers last year love them. They got a good deal, when they started getting blown out. Now the prices are just amazing. It isn't as light as a lot of the newer models but they seem to be comfy and durable.

Crazy isn't it? A skate like that for $150. What did you think of the skate?

A tad heavy by today's standards, but it was what it was - a traditional skate. Almost identical to my old Supreme Custom 4000s.

I almost got a pair a while back, they're real nice skates but I opted for 6000's.

This is what I'm skating on now for roller hockey with, and I'll tell you they are the most comfortable skates I've ever worn. I usually wear EE Bauers, but the regular width fit me just fine. They are not heavy by any means, just not feather light like a set of XX's. The support on these skates are great, and I just love how they feel. For the price they're going for right now, I think they are the best hockey skates for a budget price. Definetly reccomend them!

ya, i forgot to say that, they ARE wider than most bauer skates in a normal d width.
