Harrow V3 OPS

Recommended Posts

I did a search but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I might be able to pick one up for $20 and I was wondering about the curves. They claim pattern 3 is a Sakic clone and pattern 5 is an Iginla. I was wondering how close the harrows are to the easton curves and if the iginla has a better (rounder) bottom of the blade than the easton. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the info Chadd.

Right now I'm using an RBK 7K Modano and I was thinking about getting this stick as a backup. How different would the Harrow be, and which curve would be closer to the Modano?

1 is a Modano clone.

Yeah, I know, but I can only get a 3(Sakic) or a 5(Iginla) at that price.

For that price though, its a great stick. I still have mine and use it on occasion. I have beat it like an unwanted stepchild and its still holding up well.

So which curve would you go for? I know it's mostly PP but would the most neutral one be best then? Would that be the 5? Thanks for the help.

The 5 (Iginla clone) would be the closest of the two to the Modano curve. I would go with an Iginla curve over a Sakic curve but that's just PP. Like BK said, you really can't go wrong for that price.

So are you recommending the Iginla? Sorry, but it wasn't clear to me.

Yeah I misspelled a word and that made it a little unclear. If your looking to try to pattern similar to a Modano curve, I would go with the Iginla.

iginla is closer to modano than sakic is, they both have a relatively small curve and closed face, although the modo is more of a heel curve, the sakic is a lot more open. I went from an iggy to a modano and i now have the iggy as a backup and i have no problem switching between them. fairly similar patterns other than the shape of the iggy.

I wouldn't soo much recommend the iginla as I would not recommend the sakic, it's just soo much different than the modano. As for the iginla, it's a bit bigger of a curve and a flat bottom. If you have an issue with the lie just adjust the length, for $20 it's worth a shot.

The pattern #3 is a Drury clone, not a Sakic. If you are currently using a Forsberg, you should try the Iginla (#5). There is a little more curve on the Iginla, but the lies are the same. The difference between the Drury and the Forsberg is just too drastic--it would be like using a pitching wedge while you are trying to drive the ball 500 yards.
