Nike Bauer Supreme One Pro Stick

Recommended Posts

I was trying to get my hands on another RH XXX lite in a P92 curve, 102 flex recently but they are becoming very hard to get a hold of in the UK.

When I contacted a retailer about this he said that he could no longer get them but he had a special edition NBH Supreme OnePro stick in stock which was similar to the One90 stick.

Anyone know anything about this stick? I have searched online but haven't been able to find anything.

I presumed it would be something like that, just like the Pro Lite is something similar to the XXX lite.

Thanks very much for your help.

Did you (or anybody else) ever use the "Pro Lite" OPS or Shaft?

Im looking for some new mid end grip shafts and the pro lite is quite cheap but my LHS doesnt carry these ..

Or what about the One60 shaft? Is it the european one70? (it has tactile grip and is available in 77, 87 and 102 flex)

it's a stick that's only available in europe.. I held one last week.. I would say the supreme one is more like a One70, but a little bit heavier.

The prolite is comparable to a Vapor VII that is available in canada. Here in sweden the prolite shaft is very expensive for what you get.. The xxxlite shaft is only $40 more..

it's been touched on before, but - there's somewhat of a shortage of carbon fiber, and essentially the checkerboard style weave is cheaper to produce than the tight weave we're used to seeing from bauer. Warrior just happened to be the first one (in fact, it was inno with the true-1) to use it.

Is there any difference in durability / performance between the checkerboard weave and the tight weave?

P.S. I decided to go ahead and order this stick. It should be with me within the next few days.

Puck Stop in Sheffield has some XXX's I think in that curve (sakic clone isn't it). They also have some Warrior's in the draper curve also. They also have the XXX's in a Lidstrom clone the P02.... well they did when I was in there last week.

Hope that helps your hunt.

Never even thought about Puck Stop, their website is that bad that it usually puts me of. Might have to brave it and take a look.

As for the Warriors, I actually bought a Mac Daddy in a Draper curve from a member of MSH and ended up selling it, I just couldn't get a feel for it. Despite it being 5gms heavier than the XXX it felt too light, particularly around the blade so I'm guessing that this is to do with the balance of the stick, rather than the actual weight?

Yep I found exactly the same with the Mac D and the Stealth, just couldn't get one with them for inline hockey.

Puck Stop is always worth a call as they have new stuff coming in every week it seems.

I picked up a Graf G9 OPS from Puck Stop and for £80 it really is awesome. I don't tape the bottom of my blade so I just can't part with £130+ for a stick to last a couple of months.

The G9 feels like the original TPS response to me, which was always my favourite OPS and the 033 curve they do is exactly the original Tucker curve (before the made it boring and then turned it into a Perry). I supose in today's retial curves it would be a CCM Doan (but with a 5.5 lie).

I seem to get on better with the lower priced OPS as I like the softer blades for roller hockey, the puck doesn't hop up so much. Also like a bit more weight to help put something on the puck. But as always with all hockey kit ... it is just PP I guess.

Cheers

Daws

Well, my stick arrived this morning so I taped her up and tried it out while I was coaching my under 12 team.

My first impression was that it was a tad heavy, it felt around 450-475g, which I didn't mind as I'm more used to using a heavier 2 piece.

This was also the first time that I had used the textile grip which is similar to the RBK Snake Grip and Warrior Nipple Grip. Altho not as grippy as a traditional grip, I was still quite impressed by the feel of the stick and it seems less likely to wear.

Performance wise I noticed no difference between the overall feel & performance of the onePRO and the XXXlite despite the differences in construction.

An interesting feature of the stick is that on the underside graphics there are notches which tell you what the flex of your stick will be when its been cut down.

I would really recommend this stick to someone who is looking for a high performance stick without burning a hole in their pocket.

The UK retail for the one90 is £170 (350 USD), whereas the onePRO is only £100 (200 USD).

Don't you just love extorsion

Appears to have a warrior blade, or at least an uncharacteristic checekerboard blade.

I've seen a few pro-stock One90s with checkerboard-pattern blades.

Isnt it more than the retail one90? price wise

No, not in Europe. All hockey gear are higher priced in Europe. Here in Sweden the one90 cost $289 and the onePro is $150..

Ex. you guys pay $189,99 for a Synergy elite at hockeymonkey, over here (in Sweden) it cost $371......
