Bauer shoulder pad help

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking its about time to replace my shoulder pads, i've had these old bauer's forever and i love them, but they're getting a bit on the small side. So i need help with 2 things, first of all, does anybody know what model these are? they have no tags or anything on them and i don't remember. also, can somebody tell me another pad that will fit/feel like these, i'm looking at the bauer 6000's, they look pretty similar, but if i know the model of these, i can check around ebay, etc.

Yeah, Bauer Supreme (circa 1999) SP3000 and SG3000.

Having looked to replace my old Jofa shoulder pads, I'll tell you this, nothing new feels the same.

you're not kidding, i have moved on from the shins (i love my rbk 6k's), and you can sort of see some easton 900 shoulder pads in the corner of that pic, bad move. i wore them probably 5 times, wayyyy too bulky, i felt like a linebacker. that was probably 2 years ago, my dad said i had to get new pads because i was gonna start playing prep school and he thought i'd get killed, so he brought me to the lhs and these felt pretty comfy then, but i just couldn't move on the ice with them. i'm thinking the 6000's will be a lil better though...

The 6000's are a good bet, not too bulky with pretty decent protection. You may also see if you can find a pair of the Vapor 10's, they are pretty decent as well but are getting hard to find. If that doesn't suffice then go for the newer Supreme One/70's also light and protective.

I've been using the 6000's for the past year and have been pretty happy. Plenty of protection (which is good when you play a lot of D), yet mobility isn't limited. I found Graf's 500 shoulder pads kinda similar in fit, with just a little less torso protection, and the shoulder caps seem a little bigger.

I think the 6000's are a safe bet though. Those shins you have there are great too! I used them for roughly 6 years until I finally cracked the left one.
