I think i am just going to get a standard shaft, so what is the best one? ak27, one90, ultralite or something else?

are easton wood blades any good? or should i spend a little more and get the easton hybrid blade?

Most wood blades are made in the same factories. I find hybrid blades retain stiffness longer than wood blades.

I've got a synthesis hybrid blade and it feels pretty dead to me. not much feel to it, but it's a bit stiffer and more durable than a wood blade.

so any thoughts on the one90 shaft? Im leaning towards an ak27 as it seems to be the lightest? or should i save some money and get an ultralite or one90

I would follow chadd's advice and go for a Vapor xv shaft.

A teammate of mine has a vapor xv shaft with a xxxlite wood blade. Great performing combo. I would like to order a xv myself, but the shipping to Sweden would be higher than the shaft itself :(

How does an 85 flex Warrior Ak27 compare to an Easton Ultra Lite 85 flex shaft, like flex-wise?

I currently have a 100 flex Ak27 because it was the only one I was able to get my hands on from my LHS, I have been using 85 Flex Ultra-Lites and would like to know how close the flex is because I don't have the opportunity to test it myself. The 100 flex is fine but I really liked the whip of the 85 flex.

I currently have a 100 flex Ak27 because it was the only one I was able to get my hands on from my LHS, I have been using 85 Flex Ultra-Lites and would like to know how close the flex is because I don't have the opportunity to test it myself. The 100 flex is fine but I really liked the whip of the 85 flex.

Most of the people on the board with warriors say that they're slightly stiffer than Eastons of their equivalent flex.

We are all here to help out others and be helped by others. Relax man. It's not like you're going to be ignored just because someone else asked a question. And as long as the topic stays on topic the mods aren't going to lock it. All of us have asked questions or started threads before, maybe eventually you'll have the same question as one asked in "your thread." Take it in stride and welcome to the forums.

I normally will recommend the ultralite. It's durable, extremely popular(maybe you can find a used one for cheap) and it performs. I certainly wouldn't count out the AK-27 or one90 either. I personally prefer a tapered shaft but most people wouldn't notice the difference between a tapered or standard shaft. Either shaft should be just fine but take some extra time to figure out what blade you want to pair the shaft with.

I know that Buzz_Lightbeer loves his one90 shaft(s), and he's used pretty much everything on the market. The kick on my AK27 is very hard and very quick, and I would say it outperforms the UltraLite, but I havent used a UL in about 3 years.

I have a 100 flex AK and it actually feels a bit whippier than some of its easton counterparts that I've used. It's got a nice low kick that results in a quick release.

i got the ak27 with a hybrid blade... I was having a hard time deciding if the warrior was wort the extra $27 over the ultra lite, but I gave in...I would have liked to see the one90 shaft but they didnt have it at my lhs...
