ya but to be a "pro-stock" it means it belonged or was going to belong to the player so y would they have sticks curved the wrong way??also if u look at the pic in the link it is clearly retail.

I'm going with it being a retail Modano pattern on a PRO stick. Seems to happen all of the time, just because your a pro doesn't mean you have to use an unavailable curve.

yea...when the synergys/OPSs first came out a lot of players were sharing patterns and using retail paterns just like we are now. It was a lot harder to get a molded custom curve since the technology is new...the kids auction is prolly legit...probably belonged to a righty pro who like the modo pro/retail pattern.

ya but the fact that it doesn't say who's it was and has a pic of the retail modano it makes no sense

What doesn't make sense to you? I've seen many pro-stock synergys with a blank nameplate. It's probably from a junior team or some farm team and he isn't familiar with the player or doesn't know whose it was. The curve may actually be a retail Modano. I believe some of the Pro-stock Synthesis blades were the same type of deal that a legit company had on ebay a little while ago. They would say Sakic pro or whatever, but it was a European pro with the retail sakic curve.

Most times when I am looking for a stick on ebay, people don't even supply the information that you need... they will go gand get a catalogue picture and just say it is a good stick... all the hockey players want: height, which way it shoots, curve, flex and if it is senior, intermediate, or junior...

The pic this guy is using has nothing to do with the stick actually being auctioned. If you look at his other autions for non-grip / non-si core synergys, he uses the same picture of a right handed synergy, notwithstanding the pattern being sold or the hand. Plus, that pic is of an earlier model Synergy. I was at a LHS the other day and saw blank nameplate pro stocks with retail patterns (name of the pattern was on the factory sticker). What would get me worried about buying from this seller is the feedback....
