Mission skate fit Q.

Recommended Posts

i'm looking at picking up a pair of the Mission Wicked 5's, just curious how they fit?

I fit perfect in a CCM 11D and a Bauer Vapor 2 11EE. so don't know how the Missions would do. I know i'd go for like a sz13, but curious if i'd need a E, or if i'd be ok with a D.

btw, is the Wicked 7 a good skate?

Although people will say the Wicked series fits the same as past mission skates, I personally use to fit in an size 11 mission(my shoe size), but in the Wicked series I wore a 9 1/2 D. I have wide feet and it caused a problem I wish I went with the EE now. From what I hear the Wicked 5's are great, they do not have the carbon insoles like the 1's and 3's which are unforgiving. The wicked 7 is a great skate for the price, but the stiffness will not last. If I had to do it over again, I, Would pick up the 5's over the 1's.. Hope this helps

Hi,

I'm interested in Wicked 3, I have Tour code 1 skates but they are crashed and they are to stiff as they've injured my foot !!!

I wear 7.5 in Tour skates What size I should take for wicked 3 ? inlinewarehouse advise to take same size of shoes.

Thanks for your help.

from what i've heard the 1's and 3's are both very stiff and unforgiving. I guess the sweet spot are the 5's since they still have a lot of the added features of a top model skate but are a a bit less stiff since the side panels aren't made from as ridged of material.

i was thinking of getting the 7's cause they're going for like $150 right now, but i'm too heavy (201) for a non-stiff skate. also i guess they wouldnt last as long.

I've been in the Code 1's for over a year now.....and if you think that they are too stiff for your style of play, then you will be serverly dissapointed in the Wickeds.....as they are incredibly stiff and unyielding.

I wore a size 7 code 1, but a size 8 mission fits me. Both skates, I have my toes just slightly brushing up against the toe cap. From my comparison, I would recommend a size 8.5. However, you did say your Code 1s didn't size well, so it shouldn't be used for comparison.

I personally would say 7.5....Based on the people I have fitted for skates...As I have mentioned before...I am a 10 shoe and wear an 8.5...

My boss was a 9.5 shoe, and went to an 8/8.5

I wear a 10 shoe and a 9 in the wickeds. Fit like a glove.

Edit; we are talking North American shoe sizes, isn't it slightly different in Europe? I'd double check.

I have some nike shoes and they size 8.5 US (42 EUR) is there any difference ??

thanks for your help.

I would take Justin's advice and go for size 7.5. I take a 10.5 US Nike running shoe and a 10E dress shoe and fit an 8.5EE Mission L7 and those fit with my toes brushing the end and my foot secure all the way around without pain. I believe the L7s are similar in sizing to the roller line.I think an 8 or 8.5 will be too big for you. I would have actually recommended a 6.5 or 7 depending on how tight your running shoes are (I like to leave about a thumb width of space at the end of my running shoes, but like my skates as snug as possible without being painful or uncomfortable), but Justin worked at Mission for years and I'd take his advice regarding the fit of Mission skates over anyone on the board so if he says 7.5 that's probably what you should go with.

Of course it's impossible for anyone to guarantee your fit without you trying on the skates, but a 7 or 7.5 is likely around the size you need. If your foot is wide then you'll likely want an E width, but if you wear D width in other skates and shoes the standard D width should work.

As I mentioned earlier, I have found that people with larger sizes feet (size 11 and above) are usually only 1/2 size smaller. You should be fine

got the wicked 5's in today. wow, what a great skate. little rough on the ankles, but im sure they'll ware in just fine. no discomfort or blisters after about 1 1/2 hrs of skating. nice stiff boot which i really needed since im 202lbs. bearings will let you roll forever...

super happy. size 13EE fits me perfect and im a 12.5-13US mens. just a touch of room in the toe w/o rubbing.

yeah, after the 1st skate i was extremely happy with them. i still have to get used to the ABEC 9 bearings since they're way faster than anything i've skated on before, but its half as much work to get going. it's got that great stiffness where you feel all the energy you put in is going to the ground.
