Spreedizzle 1 Report post Posted August 21, 2007 As far as I know.....Hockey Monkey is the only online retailer that I can purchase T'blade from. Is anyone aware of another place that I can order their holders from? Hockey Monkey is currently out of 280 chassis' and I need a new set for my RBK 7K's. Let me know please....thanks. BK 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 There are only 2 sites that stocked tblades (monkey and I don't remember the other one). Thats the biggest reason why I switched back to normal steel. I think its funny that people justify using tblades by saying that "I can't get a good sharpening around here" when they can't get tblades anywhere.
Spreedizzle 1 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 It is definately a double edged sword. My issue is that the only place that I can get my skates sharpened is an hour away, and it takes them 3 days to get it done. And with my playing ice in 2 different places.....I simply can't be without my skates for 3 days. As soon as Hockey Monkey gets my size runner back in stock I am going to buy about a dozen or so. santiclaws 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 You can often get runners on ebay, as well.
odp 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 Talk to this guy on ebay - he sells runners quite often and would probably have holders.http://myworld.ebay.com/lastchanceauctions...DME:X:RTQ:US:12Also, you may want to check out http://hockeyservices.com/They're a bit on the pricey side (because their prices are listed for one unit, not one pair)Finally, if you're really strapped, I've got 2 LHS that carry runners - they might carry holders too. pisani34 10 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 if it really really comes down to it, all my lhs's here fully stock everything t-blade, shoot me a pm if you have to

There aren't any good places in Utah except for one place that does an OK job about 45 minutes away. People go as far as sending their steel into the shop of their choice. In my opinion, your "only place an hour away" excuse is weak.
irbenaid 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 I noticed this site http://www.hockeyhavenonline.com/index.htm has them when I was looking at Chadd's post in the hockey shop in Wisconsin thread...... It looks like you'll have to call them. But, they might have what you're looking for.

However, I play ice both down there in Greenville SC and then also where I live in Asheville NC....and with this schedule I am unable to leave my skates in Greenville for 6 days before I head down there again for my next game and not have my skates for my games and reffing that I do up in Asheville. Unfortunately.....the sharpenings in Greenville only happen on 2 days of the week, and they are not the days that my games are down there.....thus I have to leave them everytime that I want to get them sharpened. Like you said, its really a double edged sword. I didn't know what a good sharpening was until I had one myself. The last time I got my skates sharpened locally the guy who sharpened them gave me a blank stare when I asked for 7/16. He gave me a blank stare and replied with a simple "ok" that almost was like he was asking me "ok?". Once he was finished, I stepped on the ice and felt like I was skating through sludge. I stepped back into the shop and it came down to him admitting that he didn't know what he was doing and "new in the shop". After that Jason on the boards here was selling Salming F1's with Tblades. I gave them a shot and really liked the system. After getting sick of people asking about them and the lack of stock anywhere (even on the web), I thought whats better?.. Driving an hour for a sharpening or waiting weeks for runners. I gave a new sharpener a chance (the one an hour away) and the difference was night and day. Once I got a good sharpening, I forgot all about my tblades and really haven't looked back. Again, I was also blessed to be one of those people who sharpen their skates maybe once every 3 or 4 months (With using them at least 1 a week). It really goes both ways.
