Yes, I got some top-of-the-line Jofa shoulder pads for Cdn$40 at the Sport Chek in the Calgary Deerfoot outlet mall last year. Maybe I'll be able to pick up some Vector Pros / Vector 10.0s...

How much are the Vector Pros? Just curious since I just picked up a pair in Quebec City.

I remember talking to a store clerk and he said Sports Chek stores are all designated with a letter. Usually, Type C stores, you can only sell lower end stuff. Type B stores, you can sell almost all of the higher end stuff (CCM U+, Mission fuel 130 etc), except NBH, which requires a store to be Type A. Type A stores are almost always in big cities. I think if there is a National Sports near by, by default, the Sports Chek is relegated to a lower designation (I guess to protect National Sports customer base).

The clerk was saying that when he worked in one of the Ottawa Sports Cheks, he has to go across town to grab a pair of one90s from another Sports Chek that is Type A for a customer. His store can't showcase the higher end stuff.

On a totally unrelated note, (and this might belong to the Nike in the 90s thread) I once saw a pair of bubble wrap (transparent plastic at the back of the hand) looking new Nike pair of gloves at the Scarborough Town Centre (Toronto) Sports Chek and a pair of those white Air Excel (?) skates at the Waterloo Sports Chek.
