Rangers retiring #2

Recommended Posts

It was a great time to grow up in New Jersey.....91-97. To see the likes of Messier, Leetch, Graves, Kovalev, Gartner, Richter, Zubov, Kocur....the list goes on and on. Simply a fantastic time frame to be going to a dozen games or so a year at MSG. Leetch was also one of my favorite players growing up also...him and Gartner both.

A friend of mine who has a partial plan said he got a call from a ticket rep. asking if he'd like to include a game on Jan. 24th against the Thrashers which would be a, "Very special night reserved for a former player". Next day they announce the retirement.

I wonder why they couldn't just say Leetch was going be retired, wanna go?

Unbelievable player...only got to really watch him a short time while he was here with the Leafs, but his skill level was ridiculous.

shame Leechy isn't retiring in a Rangers uni. shouldn't have traded him EVER!

He was a very "entertaining" player to watch on the ice.
