MIA gloves

Recommended Posts

off the shelf, MIAs are bar-none the most comfortable, most already-broken-in feeling gloves i have ever worn. i couldn't disagree more with those who say MIAs are basically an over-prices Eagle glove. Eagle's are woefully stiff and rigid, even with their new, supposedly mosre comfortable x72 line.

i do, however, hold one strike against MIA... the friggin' stock "micronash" palm is not nearly durable enough for those on the ice 3-4 days a week. only took about 4 hours of icetime before i chewed right through the suckers. i would suggest to seriously consider the custom order where you can choose your palm material. if one were to custom order and NOT want to drop the few extra bucks on a "performance" palm, go with the Nash palm over the stock "#1 choice" Micronash. the Nash palm will feel very similar to the palm of the NBH 4-roll, or any CCM/RBK pro-stock glove you can pick up.

Gotta agree with the last post.

The gloves lasted the whole season in great shape...except for the palms. I have now switched to the NBH 4 roll. Best glove I have ever worn.

I'm not a big fan of full nylon or the "carbon" material that both MIA and Eagle use. I love the customization, but I don't like how expensive MIA is, and the Eagle custom form doesn't allow for finger length or anything besides color and material.

Do either of these two do custom sizing, or does another company? I want a 15" glove with slightly extended but narrower fingers, either full [p]leather or nylon combo.
