I have the p2 8k. It should be fine, as long as your order the right size. I should have gone an inch lower, and as a result, the thigh boards stick underneath my pants when I recover.

V3's. I currently have v3's, have had v2's and tried p2 8k. The v3's close up very nice. I find the p2's very stiff. The v2's are good but if you want the thigh extension you have to pay a custom fee. the v3's come standard with it.

Thats no problem I always play without thigh boards

I use Tps knee pads ! :P

Yeah I hate thigh boards. I like the smaller thigh/knee pads that are connected to the pads but tuck under the pants.

I've noticed that basically any decent goalie witht he right sized RBK pads will close it right up. Theres a couple kids in my highschool ice league who have 8Ks and the kids aren't amazing or anything, but they have a perfect closing butterfly. I haven't worn them or seen them but, thats what ive noticed.
