at least it is a very treatable cancer with a low mortality rate and it seems that he caught it early.

I remember watching a show about the Isles a few years ago and I'm pretty sure I remember that his wife had cancer, maybe breast, just after their baby was born.

2 in the same family. Ouch.

He was told on Friday, before the MTL game. I believe it was found in the pre-season, then confirmed that day.

Yeah, his wife had thyroid cancer while she was 8 mos pregnant with their first child in 2001. She had to have an emergency c-section. Jason's apparently a trooper, and I'm pretty sure he'll battle this one out. I too, and highly impressed that he will continue to play throughout this. I personally need to keep stuff like this in mind when I'm "too tired" to workout, or hit the ice...
