thats ridiculous, the leafs could get nothing out of this, if the team that drafts him doesn't want to trade his rights

It is stupid, Leafs hoping he will become so enamored with the organization to not report to a team drafting him?

This is not going over well in "The Shwa"....leafs org has a contract to run the new arena in town. Backstabbing B's is a frequent comment

The thought is they will give him a favour and he will return it. He's a hometown kid, who helped unveil the Marlies jersey's a few years ago. He doesn't want to play in Oshawa anymore, there was a point (and still may be) where he wanted to go to Europe and play there. They aren't hoping he becomes enamored with the organization, they are hoping he will return a favour and make alot of cash in doing so. All that said, It will not happen, the NHL will not allow it.

Knowing the agent and the guy I am betting it does happen.

The AHL would love to have a Crosby for a year! It would help out any teams they play against as well as home crowds. I was at the game tonight and they need all the help they can get!

Marlies won 5-2 and still were only like 2000 or 2500 people there.

He is just an awesome guy and is pretty quiet except when it comes to hockey he needs to be up in a higher caliber for sure!
