any good solutions for stretched out elastic?

my elbows and shoulders have bad elastic now. Do I sew them and make them shorter? Put new stuff on? Suggestions?

Idk if it'd work for you, but straps on some of my gear was extra long already and I'm skinny so I don't need the whole strap, but I just stretched it and tied a knot in it.

Remove the velcro tab that is sewn on at the end of the streched straps, then cut the straps down to desired size. Be carefull and lightly singe/ melt the ends of freshly cut straps (so they won't fray). Sew the velcro pieces (that you earlier removed) back on and you should be good to go.

I just did this to my elbow pads and should now get a few more seasons out of them.

take it to a tailor. they can alter it for cheap.

Just use clear tape. Simple fix.
