Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 Hello, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy an intermediate warrior dolo 2 shaft. Before spending the money on it, I just wanted to double check that the shaft takes senior tapered blades? I've also read that some people have had trouble getting non-warrior blades in the shaft, is this problem so bad that you would advise me to stay away from the shaft? I would be looking at either easton synthesis wood blades or vapor XXX lite wood blades, anyone have success or failure with getting these blades into the shaft? Thanks for the info.BTW: I did search :)
odp 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Yes, Sr. tapered blades. Only used a Dolo blade with mine, so I can't comment on non-warrior blades in it.
yipperzz 28 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 i've used a non warrior blade and it was a little wider than the shaft. i shoved it in there (stupid move) and now the dolo blades fit a little loose. the dolo blades fit nice and it was very balanced. you might find other brands that are balanced but i have been using the inno blades for a few years and stick with those out of personal preference. James 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2007 I don't know if anyone noticed, but on the Warrior website about the AK27 blade, it says "Longer and thicker hosel gives you deeper penetration into the crease"

ju87 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2007 I use a Easton senior blade with my intermediate Dolomite, no problem.Off topic: does anyone else find the shaft to be ultra stiff? It feels stiffer than my senior Z-Bubble 85 shaft and gives me slight tennis elbow.

Andoy 5 Report post Posted November 9, 2007 I had the same problem with my dolomite shaft. I tried to put in my p12 prostock blades in there and the shaft was a little too narrow for the blades. A bit of elbow grease and it did the job.

It feels stiffer than my senior Z-Bubble 85 shaft and gives me slight tennis elbow.I may be mistaken but isn't the Shaft/blade combo for the Dolomite the exact same thing as the one piece? if this is indeed the case then I have used a bunch of the one piece Dolomites in an 85 flex and they do not seem stiff at all compared with Easton 85 flex sticks. the dolomites (personal opinion) actually feel a little less than 85 flex. I compared an 85 flex Dolomite to an 85 flex Synergy SL and then to a Pro-Stock Z-Bubble sitting in my room which is labeled to be 80 flex (Jon Sim) and in stiffness order it would be the SL - Dolomite - Z-Bubble( 80 flex). ju87 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2007 I've read on this board that Dolomites generally feel softer than their flex ratings indicate, but somehow my 70 flex feels ultra-stiff. Maybe I got a bad one or the location of the flex doesn't agree with me.

regularjoe 1 Report post Posted November 9, 2007 I've tried the Christian woodies. Except for the last batch, they fit pretty well.I should say the best performance I've gotten is with a Warrior blade.
