Nike V14 Elbow Pads - Thermoformable forearm?

OK, I did search, but since you can't find V14 (too few letters) and thermoformable didn't come up with the right results....

I just got some new Nike V14 elbow pads. It says it's got a "Thermoformable forearm". I presume this is like heat-molding skates?

Presuming this is the case.... anyone know how one goes about this? You must no heat it in a skate oven... so.... anyone know? You stick it in a dryer or something?

Is there really any noticeable difference? (i.e., is it worth going back to my LHS to have it done)

Unless you have some huge guns and want the forearm pad sculpted, it isn't necessary. I have the pads and did bake them. They will fit fine either way.

Ya i have them too, it' not necessary to bake them IMO.
