Got my Vapor XXV's yesterday!

Recommended Posts

Well i got my XXV's yesterday and I took them out to my son's practice and tried them out for a few laps......right on my a**

They feel great, and I am really getting used to the Tuuk's after a public skate today..2 hrs on the ice.

I am over the center of my blades more on these versus my Vectors.

Might get the left skate punched out near the 1st metatarsel joint as that seems to be my only hot spot on the skates.

haha yeah, the vapors are definitely more on your heels than a CCM skate. I just got mine profiled a little over a month ago

It's the contour of the steel, not the height of the heel that makes them feel different. I felt that way too when I went from Easton holders to Tuuk LS's. I would get them profiled if I was you. It helped my skating immensely. I'm up 1/32" on the heel now. Works great.

After around 4 or 5 skates with the new XXV's I am really digging them now....I might still have them punched out a bit but I am finding I can skate longer with little to no numbness in my foot now.....WAY more stable and seems to be more centered over my blades now. Actually attempted and started to feel comfortable doing crossovers.

I am new to skating by the way.

Ahh friend of mine got her son some of those after having the bauer 1000's and his skating i think has improved so much from moving up on those skates. He is 11. I think the stiffness of the boot has helped him a lot.
