From Bauer 7000 to Graf 727

Recommended Posts

From what I have read the 727's have this forward lean like the 705's. If I swap out the cobras for some Tuuk C+'s and swap in the steel from my 7000's will I still feel like I am falling forward?

Thanks,

James

the holder will put you at a more neutral overall stance, but the graf boot will still be pitched forward. I'm on 709s with custom+, and it's stil a bit of an overall forward lean on them.

also be aware that 727s will be quite a bit softer than your 7000s. 7000s are known to be one of the stiffest boots around, and the graf xx7 series is one of the softest.

Instead of changing the holders just have the blades recontoured to a Custom + contour. The Cobra holder is known to be a very good and versatile holder. I wouldn't change them. The Graf boot will still have a bit of a forward profile as perviously mentioned but you'll notice a big difference in the comfort factor of these boots once you've broken them in. It has to be one of the most comfortable skates on the market.

That would be quite a bit of steel lost for that job(relatively speaking). I'd skate on them as-is and see whether I liked the feel of the holder before I had them profiled. That's what I did for my LS2s, I loved the stiffness so I got them profiled to get a little closer to feel like my Tacks.
