Easton Toy drive.

Tis the season for the Easton toy drive. I know a thread will popup soon about "I didn't get my stick" or whatever but there's something more important that I want in this thread. For the first time since I was younger I donated a decent amount of money to buy toys for the easton toy drive. I figure the ice hockey equipment section will work for this as it will turn into an equipment thread... Lets not clog up the other threads with toy drive related stuff.

I bought a few handheld games, a tetris game, a yatzee game and a few mind teaser games for the kids. I looked around the toy section at walmart for about 30 minutes until i decided what I was going to get. I wanted to get those toy helicopters but I figured it might not be the best idea for kids that might be in the hospital, haha. I actually had more fun doing that then I expected, it certainly wasn't a chore. I did only get about $95 worth of toys but it was money well spent, one stick will be coming my way but five games will be going out to five kids that the money is well spent on.

When the sticks/helmets/games start coming, lets post what we got, but until then how about you post what you bought the little ones.

I know but I was hoping to get that topic back on topic of the stick itself instead of the toy drive... If you dont agree, feel free to delete the topic. :) Either way works for me.

i agree with TBL the s17 thread is more about the stick and how you liek the stick and stuff, not about what curve you picked for the toy drive ths is a good idea.. i think anyways i am hopeing to go monday night to walmart up here in canada and maybe see if i can get a gameboy and a couple games and then about 12 packs of batteries cause we all know how frustrating it is when your gameboy runs out of batteries :) haha

I wouldn't have ignored that S17 thread if I knew there was toy drive discussion.

But to bring this back on topic, are these toys going to children in hospital or just kids from low-income families? Would make a difference for the type of toys I get.

i believe on the easton board it say children in hospital, and that they want hand held games, like gameboys, and the little things that TBL bought.

Maybe it's a good thing that the kids these toys go to can't afford things like computers and internet access because there would be poor kid messageboards with threads like "What the fuck is sudoku?" and "I didn't get the Cabbage Patch Kid I wanted!!!eleven!"
