ChiefHockey13 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 One of the eyelets on my vapor 40's that I got around 6 months ago came off last weekend. I took it to my lhs and they attempted to fix it. They had to put a little plastic on the new eyelid (since the it became larger from the eyelets pushing it) and they thought it would hold up until the end of this weekend but after that I would probably have to get new skates. The eyelets came off as soon as I put my lace into it to tie my skates so I guess I have to get new skates now but I really don't want another pair of 40's since mine didn't hold up well. Is Bauer going to only send me the 40's or can I ask to get the One90's or something?
chikinpotpie 138 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 That sounds serious, withouth eyelids how does the skate sleep?Seriously, take the skate to a shoe shop and they should be able to put a heavy duty eyelet in for you.

sogaduch 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 go to a leather guy or a real good lhs and they should be able to put a patch of leather on both sides and put an eyelot in it to reinforce it

JBP 18 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 NBH Warranty on boots is 90 days. The blades and holders have 1 year on them.My suggestion would be to take Sogaduch's advice. Cheers

troy 12 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 I had the same problem with my XXXs, I did the shoe shop leather repair and it worked fine for a time. Eventually the top of the boots became so soft all the extra wrap they now had caused me lacebite so severe I could barely tie my skates.
