Team Sticker on helmets

Recommended Posts

This is probably a stupid question, and all i could find when i searched was regarding certification stickers, so here goes:

I am wondering how you guys remove the stock logos from helmets in order to put team logo stickers on them? I want to put team logo stickers on a helmet, but the original manufacturer logo is bigger than the sticker. I want to know the best way to cover up the manufacturer logo or remove it all together.....any suggestions or tricks? (please have mercy upon my soul, as I have tried to search for a similar topic, but couldn't find anything relevant)

Three words. Nail Polish Remover. Always works on any paint stuff. Your helmet wont change color cause thats the actual color of the plastic, just the decal/paint on the helmet will come off.

works on some sticks too...

yeah i use electrical tape just b/c i dont anyone to see the logos on my ref helmet...works like a charm, and cheap too...esp. black...cant even tell

heat it up with a hair dryer. should peal right off leaving no goop.

That doesn't always work as well as you think. It really depends how fresh off the manufacturing line the helmet is. Heating always helps, but in the end I have always been left with some sticky crap on the helmet. From there I hit it with the Nail Polish Remover or Goo Gone. Also you can press down with your fingers and kind of roll it off too after you apply the NPR or GG.

Edit: Figure in a rough green brillo pad too, I have used that in the past as well.
