What is a friend?

However, winning may prevent a dipshit like that from ever being a cop. That would be a good thing.

When he did the move, he had only drank like 2 beers, it was pretty early in the evening, he did it to about 2 other friends and no one just said do it to me, he just took their hands and did it. We weren't talking about it either, he just came out of the blue and said look what I can do.

Come out of the blue and show him what you can do. Round up the people involved and take him to court. I know your strapped for cash, but your expenses would be split. Even if you don't win you still would likely be rid of this guy. Write a group letter to the head of the police departartment and police training department. The special moves these guys learn are like martial arts moves: For defense only. Police departments are keen to sort out the yahoos before they train them.

Like Chadd said, preventing this guy from becoming a cop would be a good thing, and being sued would send a message to this guy. I used to play with a guy who was a cop. Shady like the North face of Mt. Everest. He's a rent a cop now, but removing him from the force was a process. Better to nip these yahoos in the bud. Of course, there are also more fun and less rational solutions. B) Sucks about your money and vacation.

Or promote them

Ha, yeah, I was going to mention that in my post, but I didn't have the energy to explain it. Police like to weed out the uncontrolable kinds of stupid before they train them. A few years ago there was a guy who was unable to become a cop because he did to well on the entrance exam, so they promote the special kinds of stupid. After they are sworn into their secret brotherhood, removing them is virtually impossible. Interesting newspaper clipping.

That last part sounds exactly like this small town just north of Eugene. Its right on I-5 and they'll always be 3-4 motorcycle cops out at all times. They're some crazy bastards. It doesn't even matter that its the straightest section of I-5, and one of the safest too. They make so much money on tickets.

I just got a call from the doctor and I got some bad news. Apparently there is something broken in my thumb, it's a small fragment and my thumb might be stabilized for the next 2 weeks, so I will lose a total of 500$ and the start of my hockey season is compromized cause I will probably have to do physio on my hand.

Just keeping everyone up to date, we will arange a meeting with his parents and himself if he can be there to talk about the situation. I MIGHT not need surgery but there is a good chance that I will need a cast on my thumb, I have to go back for x-rays on the 19th of august. There are good chances that I won't be able to work for the rest of the summer and the begining of my hockey season is strongly compromized, because I can't lift weights or do exercise I will lose a good amount of muscles in the 3 weeks period. Since lifting weights was a passtime and was a good way to relax, it really hurts my self esteem and I am feeling really depressed right now, I can't brush my teeth, can't tie my shoes, can't drive, almost can't eat, etc... There are no chances that I will bring him to court or call the police station, we want to discuss it in mature fashion with them to make sure they understand how we are feeling, the huge lost of money (if I don't work for the rest of the summer I could loose more than 1000$). And physio for reabilitation is necessary at this point.

I know how you feel in the way that I am a runner and I have been held back by a knee injury so I turned over to getting more heavily into weights and I have been doing physio exercises for about two months. I am ready to run now and am just waiting for the Nike Shox TL2s to arrive at my local sports store (I ordered in a pair). I know it is depressing but you got to keep moving. I pulled a muscle in my leg last summer and I got extremely depressed and didn't do anything for 3 weeks, but instead of being depressed I should have lifted weights. So my advice to you is to do absolutely anything that won't agrovate your thumb.. like perhaps sit ups. I highly recommend running and I know Denis does do this so... just keep moving and don't give up..

I've already tried to do simple things, and when I "get physical" my thumb hurts, because of the blood flow and the movement, so I can't do anything, the thumb is probably the most important finger in your hand.

I know what you're saying about the thumb being the most important finger on your hand. End of the season last year some dipshit got his stick caught in my glove and ripped it off and then slashed my thumb and broke it pretty bad, I had to have a cast all the way up to my forearm, but I played the last 8-10 games of the season with the cast and it was HARD AS HELL, so just keep in there man and sorry bout what happened and i sure as hell know what your going through as far as the thumb goes, its hard as hell to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING i know man but just stay in there. Hope everything heels fine for you and you have no problems in the long run.

the thumb is definately the most important but i think it heals quicker then wut the doctors say. I broke my thumb last year and it was supposed to be 4-6 weeks after like two i really wanted to play and my parents didn't want me to.But instead of saying no they told me if i could get a glove on i could play.(cuz it wouldn't fit) Anyways i ended up taking some sand paper to it when hey went out and it eventually fit in my glove.Anyways the point of the story is there was no pain in my thumb the olny pain i felt was after the cast was removed it hurt to grip something hard..couldn't take a slapshot worth shit in in-line.

Just came back from the hospital, they didn't put any cast on my thumb and they were saying it was healling extremelly well, I still have a small brace on it and will still have it for about a week, then I will be able to play with a stress ball and stuff like that. I am seeing the doctor again in about a month to see if everything is good with my thumb. Funny thing is that the mother of the dude who broke my thumb said (when the came over here that she wanted to come the the hospital with us so we called her before we left to see if the still wanted to come over) They decided to call a lawyer and we may have to go to court. How dumb is that?? They are willing to pay 50$ an hour for a lawyer and they don't even want to pay the money that I am loosing because of her son. What a good friend!!!(sarcastic) None of my friends have talked to him after the incident and no one has saw him (only the time they came over here cause WE(my mother and I) wanted to settle this in a mature way and not to bust his face just to get back at him.)
