old easton air pants

i've got a pair of the old easton air pants that i like a lot and i'd really like to find the closest new model possible to replace them with.

here's a pic from an ebay auction of the ones i'm replacing (obviously not junior though):

which stealth pants are closest to those? in all aspects - fit, mobility/padding, etc.

eastwesthockey.com has easton air pro return pants brand new. I loved that pant too and still wear it. The fit is classic and in my opinion only matched by tackla. But as to which one replaces it? I don't know if anyone does. They seem to have added more.

Most of them are already sold out or come in ridiculous sizes. I was looking to get a 2nd pair, and I notice these have zips/velcro. Dammit.

I had a pair of old Easton Air Pants--great protection, but did not have a wicking fabric on the interior (could get heavy). I have since switched to Tackla (on my 2nd pair) and am very satisfied.

I'll back up the previous posters and say go tackla but if you really want Easton, I'd say the synergy 700 is the most similiar to the old airs.

Easton Z-Airs = Synergy 900's = Stealth S-9's

Easton Airs = Synergy 700's = Stealth S-5's

Easton Ultra Lights = Synergy 500's = Stealth S-3's

If you liked the Easton Air retail pant my guess is you will like the Easton Air pro stock pant even better. I have a pair and the fit feels like it was tailor made --- I got mine at eastwesthockey. I often see pro stock eastons come up on ebay if you can wait and look there. Good luck.

Problem with the S5's in comparison to the Air's (which I also use and love), is #1 - the closure system. The S5's only have one belt, unlike the Air's which have 2 belts and a drawstring, and #2 - the S5's lack the padding over the pelvis like the Air's have.
