Shin pad Issues

I recently bought a pair of RBK 6K shins and am having some troubles with them. They are extremely stiff and ucomfortable( they don't rest on my legs, just sort of hover while digging into the top of my knee, and have a slight curve near the bottoms).

I was wondering if these might be the wrong size( i'm 6'3 wearing 17' pads over the toungues of my skates) and if somebody could suggest an alternative pad

They sound a little big for you.

Try putting them on the insides of your tongue.

Did you try them on before you got them?

No, I didn't... mine broke before a game a couple weeks ago and had to grab some from the pro shop

The 6k's were designed that way. they were designed so that your leg 'floats' on the pad so that the pad and not your leg absorbs the impact.

i tuck the tongue of my skates between the plastic shell and the floating pad... works for me and keeps it from moving
