I'd accept that if it didn't involve the three minute power play that Atlanta got even though McCarthy was the third man in and Ruutu never fought him.

yeah he got 5 for receiving - i think he was actually trying to get a powerplay out of it but the refs gave him an automatic 5 for standing there and getting punched in the face a few times

quite. Ruutu had a pretty clean hit on kovalchuk though, just finishing his checks. if kovalchuk had taken the hit like how they taught you in peewees, he wouldve been fine.
