Try them on and THEN tell US what the best boot is. Funny thing about skates, WE can't tell YOU what skate is best for YOUR feet.

ive tried them all on and so far im leaning towards the vector but its a little wide.

Grafs are pretty much the same thing but they are a tad too snug instead of too wide.

i have vapor XIXs right now hwich fit about the same as the XXs and im okay with the fit but i wouldnt mind something better.

I like the pump in the rbks because they fit my ankle well but not so much the rest of my foot.

they really have around the same amount of fit overall i was just wondering what ither people thought of the performance and durability of the boots.

ie What's the best one?

They don't fit alike at all. You need someone that knows what they are doing to fit you. Something that is a little wide or a little snug is going to hurt your feet, you aren't picking out shoes here.

why not try a MIssion on? if you are looking for the best fit for you... dont cheat yourself by only trying a few brands. in the end if you have tried them all... you may learn a little something about all the skates you try on rather than what you think you may know. asking people on a forum can be more of a popularity contest sometimes ( ie: this is what i use... so should you etc etc ).try them all on and LISTEN to what your feet are telling you.... not what a big money marketing campaign is telling you.

i think he's a bit concerned about the quality, since some are the top end and others are not... but really, most skates these days are pretty durable. just go with what fits best. if you want a higher end boot, cough up the money to upgrade the model if possible.

i would much rather have a boot fit too snug than too wide. think about this... after skating in that boot for a while it will work into your foot. a boot that is too loose or wide is only going to give blisters. eventually when those blisters peel off you will have chunks of skin that resemble beef jerkey. like TBLFan said..... these are not shoes..... so dont expect your skates to fit like your favorite pair of sandals. with some of the new materials we have become pretty spoiled. that said ... there is still a break in period-- snug is okay. i dont think you would be disappointed with the Graf.

thanks zac finally someone who give me something constructive.

TBL fan i dont mean they fit exactly the same. i meant im pretty much in beteween on all of them and no skate really stands out on fit. im realy stuck in the middle in fits, nothing's perfect but i need new skates bad. im not an idiot ive bought skates before im just trying to get a little outside opinion on a few pairs skates is all.

the 10.0 would probably perform the best seeing as how there top end skates, xx are old top end so probably will out perform the lower two, then the graf and RBK are still gonna perform pretty good but they wont be as light, but you wont notice anyways so jsut go with the fit bro.

unless your feet are made of clay, you're not going to fit into all of those skates comfortably. You're talking apples, oranges and pears.

How does one skate perform better than another? I'm wearing XX's with t-blades, if I get XXXX's with thermablades will I skate 4 times better? It's not like its a stick that can have more kick. The best fitting skates are going to "perform" the best for you.

I came out of Vectors and into RBK's.....if the Vectors are a touch too wide for you, then you will have no hope in properly fitting into the RBK's. They are wider in the forefoot, lower in the arch support, and wider in the heel pocket.

You have to understand that people here want to avoid saying go with brand x, because they know it might not be whats best for you.

Last time I bought skates I tried on every single brand, even the brand I was looking to replace. It me a while, but I ended up with one of the best fitting and most comfortable skates I've ever owned.

Lesson learned too, that best fitting and most comfortable skate was a brand I would have never tried on if I was shopping by brand only.

I have skated in all of those but the vapor XX and the 7k pumps. It depends on your skating style and your foot, and how stiff you like your boot. Im 5'7" 190lbs, and prefer a stiff boot. Grafs just dont work for me as they fold like butter. I had the Vapor XXX's and they were awesome for about 7 games then the got soft as well. If I had an endless supply of skates, I would probly still wear them. I currently use the RBK 8k's and they are holding up pretty decent. If it were me, I would go with the Vector 10.0's. Thats just one mans opinion lol
