No, that was just a comment from the article...I actually heard him say that live on TV and was laughing pretty hard.

It's a joke move by the franchise. How do you justify this? I don't get it. I'd hate to the poor PR sap who has to spin this when it's obviously just one of the big wigs upstairs acting like a little bitch and making them 'ban' Bill Watters.

Watter's has become an on air joke at this point. He's a fanboy, much like Glen Healy. At least Healy works a variety of games, while Watters focuses on the Leafs. His players, are the "good ones", his moves are the "good ones" anything else is horrible and stupid. He's an attention starved man who focuses more on himself than his job. The guy has a portion of his program devoted to his memorization of the dictionary. If he finally talks hockey, it's usually background information, where the players from, how much he weighed in the 8th grade, who he took to the senior prom, etc. He shares very little useful information at this point and is incredibly bitter about his firing, despite doing a very poor job.
