Sakic Curve

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Maybe a stupid question. Joe Sakic has blades under Easton. I love those blades but i was wondering if any other compaines do the same curve. I understand Montreal Hockey does something like that, but anything like CCM or RBK?

This has been discussed numerous times but a draper curve in warrior is pretty similar. Naslund in Nike/bauer is the same pattern I believe as well

While some of the info is a little behind, that Pattern Database up on the top lists all of this stuff.

If you're willing to change a spec or two (I know you love the blade, but some people love specific things about blades, and other people love every single aspect) a bunch of other options slide in.

Naslund is P91

Nope, as TBLfan said it is a P92.

P106 = Gagne, Linden

P91 = Kovalchuk

P92 = Naslund

P10 = Bure, old Gagne

PM9 = Hossa, St. Louis, Malkin

P88 = Lindros

P71 = Peca, Clark

P73 = Tverdovsky

P02 = Samsonov, Pronger

That is all that I can recall off the top of my head...

Do all companies have to do the same curve and just put their stars on it? Sakic and Naslund are identical!

one or two things might be slightly tweaked from one company to another but it's pretty much the same

Whoops, I knew there was something odd sounding about P91 :lol:

SWD has an SA in the RM-9's (actually has SA on the name plate) and a PP6087 with a Sakic curve in other OPS. It is identical to the real Easton one. I'm an SL guy who only uses Sakic..... but my twig broke and had to go for an RM-9. It was pretty good.

How do the lies differ between all the clones? Not just the listed lie but how do they actually play like?

I've been going through the Sakic clones trying to find the right lie. Below is what I've found to be the case.

Sakic = 5.5

Naslund (p92)= 6

Rafalksi = Slightly lower than the Naslund, less overall rocker to the blade

Sher-Wood JS = About halfway in between the Sakic and Naslund

Christian (think its pattern 5) = Higher than Naslund

Datsyuk = Lower than Sakic
