Skate sharpening woes

I heard a doozy last night. This was in regard to Roseau HS and their poor showing at the state tourney. " bad skate sharpening...watch the replay, they all fall down when turning to the left."

are you saying there was some "sabbotouge" before the game by some "pranksters"

I've always made jokes to kids when sharpening skates "what team you play for?". "you want me to leave em' cross-grinded right? ". Who knows if someone did that though. and who says every kid got there skates sharpened before the game.

Poor excuse (if that's what it is) at best. There are sharpening facilities at the X I'm sure they could have gotten access to between periods. And over at the Expo there were several companies that, I'm sure, would have loved to run down to save the day with their hand sharpening devices....

...yea that excuse is only good for 1 period...anyway it looks like when Roseau was falling down it was mainly from checks from H-M. LOL. Don't get me wrong I am all for a small school winning - but with all the dominating H-M has done over the years, its only their 3rd championship

I asked our NBH rep(they run the skate sharpening during the tourney) who was sharpening Roseau's skates? He said they carry there own sharpener with them, and were doing there own skates. They were falling all over on thurs and friday night

Can't trust the sharpeners eh.. Just had to try and do it them selves ;)
