Nike skates: Flexlite & Quest V-Force "Pro STK"

Recommended Posts

It's been a while since I tried on V-12s, but to my recollection they're a totally different last than the Flexlites I own and love (for the most part).

What I can't find out anywhere is whether the Quest V-Force was just a THG SMU of the V-12/10, based on that shape, or whether it fits more like a Flexlite. I can tell it's got the massive V-series toe-cap, but beyond that, it's hard to tell, and I've never seen a pair in person.

I'd also like to know to what extent the V-Force was thermoformable.

I ask because there's a pair on eBay that caught my eye...

Thanks in advance.

Yeah... thing is, if it is in fact the same last as the Flexlites with a wider and deeper toecap , I should be OK. If it's not, there's no point.

I'm currently using the V Force and they do have a wider toecap than the flexlites I've tried on. Using a 7EE on the V force but would use a 7.5EE on the Flexlites.

Yep, I know about the toecap - what about the rest of the skate? Are the proportions through the rest of the foot the same as a Flexlite, or are they like the rest of the numbered V-series?

I believe the Flexlites have a narrow heel but a massive toe area. It would make sense to lock in your heel and mid-foot more with all that extra room in the toe cap. Otherwise you just might as well be wearing flip flops on the ice.

Again, I own a pair of Flexlites and am extremely happy with them, except for the relatively narrow toe-box and the fact that my pair is a hair too small.

My question is about the Quest V-Force. I know it has a larger toe-cap, which is EXACTLY what I'm looking for, but I cannot find out what last the V-Force is based on through the rest of the boot.

I really would appreciate having that answered.

I've got a pair of Flexlite 12s and a pair of V-Force, and here's what difference I can tell: Obviously, the toe box is narrower in the 12's. It also seems to me that that the depth of the forefoot area is deeper in the V-Force, it could just be me. the heel is narrower on the V-Force's. The depth of both around the ankle seems the same. The 12's seem stiffer to me, the V-Forces are pretty floppy. I'm no expert, but that's the differences, as far as I can tell.

Edit: I did have a pair of V-12s, they fit the same as the V-Forces.
