Jofa Bubble

Does anyone know where I can get a Jofa bubble caqe? I know they no longer make them, and I have searched ebay but 45 dollars is to expensive for a cage. Also, anyone know why they no longer make them? Thanks alot for the help.

Do you mean Itech bubble cage because the only bubble cages I've seen are the Itech's which are the one's that I wear? If you are referring to Jofa, they now make the same cage under the CCM name which are both owned by RBK. You can see them on hockeymonkey and many other sites.

It's a different cage. They don't make it anymore, and everyone and their dog wants/loves it.

Got one off ebay last year from some dude in sweeden...cost me about $40 shipped to the states. Just recently sold it to a teamate who was willing to pay $50 for it.

pretty hard to find, if you expect to pay less than that you'd have to find something lying around in a trash bin. I've had people come up to me and offer me on average 100 bucks

Its light weight and visibility is good; it's also a little further away from your face I think. I personally preferred the Jofa ones like the current RBK ones.

well... it really depends what kind of hockey you're playing. first and foremost its all about the looks, it really looks good on pretty much every bucket

as for safety is sucks, it hangs low, is pretty lighweight, vision is great (as mentioned above) but if you get popped well you're jaw will not like you

if you arent playing in the most physical league or level than its a nice mask to have

and no, the rbk comes no way near the bubble

It is crazy, the senior bubbles absolutely float on my face so about five years ago I bought two junior bubbles and they fit like a glove and I'm 18 years old. I'd be willing to sell one or both of them possibly because I see what they are going for on ebay.

I can't really understand why they have become so popular nowdays.. When i played in a youth/junior league like 15 years ago, allmost all kids hated the bubbles, and the full shield Itech's was tha shit!

Now, I sold my 2 bubble cages on blocket.se (all-swedish equivalence to ebay)

like 1hour after i added them on the site. Kids now must really like the retro look of them..

1) spacing - could see better through the Jofa birdcage than the other ones.

2) colour - grey colour was great, had a hard time looking through black or white bars

its only certain models that are highly sought after. my friend had a jofa cage which he thought was valuable, he tried ebay and only got about $30-40.

Yeah I played for Dorchester for a long time. Good program there, I'll probably end up coaching there someday.
