Not being nasty to any people that posted but pretty much all those types of gloves are WAY out of my price range, R8's in the UK are £140 whilst the bauer XXX are £180 - in dollars, it equates to about $350.

I've had a look at Warrior MacDaddys and also the Vector 8 glove, possibly even the white mission wicked glove. - Are any of these good?

The hockey company probably wouldn't like it, but you'd be better off making friends with somebody in the states and having them ship you the gloves....because those prices are like 3 or 4 times too expensive. How soon do you need them?

If your worried about price, and you like your present gloves - I would just get them repalmed at a LHS it might be about $25 a glove...Hey your gloves are nice and broken in...its your choice, and your money. CHA-CHING!! $$

I usually buy a top end glove, then get them re-palmed a few times - you really get your moneys worth - maybe buy a nice pair tommorow - then go with the re-palm plan going forward.

definitely. my TPS R8 gloves are going in for their first repalming. fixitbymail quoted $52 for MSH2 palms and mesh gussets (42 for the palms, 10 for the gussets).

i cant believe those UK prices!!! i guess we as a country are in denial about our struggling dollar!

If you want new gloves you have to try and find a way of getting them from the US, the prices here in the UK as you have noted are just mad. The only problem is getting the right size. I have some NBH 4 rolls on the way to me.

Back from my LHS and luckily I got a pair of TPS R8's for £65 ($130).

So i'm a happy guy.. thanks for the advice people!

good buy, i tried the gloves on and they felt great. the palm was too soft for my liking though.
